Mother’s Day

Exodus 20:12 Deuteronomy 5:16 Ephesians 6:1 Proverbs 18:12

• We need to know how to honor our mother - America is in crisis today

• We are losing kids right and left – The enemy has convinced children to dishonor their parent

• God will not bless them when they do such things – Dishonor is a major problem

• If we want a good quality of life then understanding honor is necessary

• It’s depends on you not God how your quality of life is – Good or bad

• God commands us to honor our mother and father it is not a suggestion

• Honor your Mother and Father - That your day be long upon the earth

• God has guidelines – Honor is a calculated decision to show

• 1. Attention 2. Awareness 3. Consideration – To your parents

Matthew 15:4 Mark 7:10 Exodus 21:17 Leviticus 20:9

• Honor means respect, high regard, esteem, for a good cause (motive, principle)

• There are three ways God deals with obedience Obey God, Children obey parents, obey those who have rule over you

• You can’t be sorry for disobeying – Sorry don’t get it – Repent -Be broken

• God is watching everything you do against your mother – Be truthful



• Ten ways to honor your mother

1. Get an Education
2. Learn good work habits
3. Make something of yourself
4. Refuse to walk with stupid people
5. Obey her words
6. Stay away from drugs and sex
7. Keep your room clean ( and your behind too)
8. Don’t forget her when she’s old
9. Give your life to Jesus Christ
10. Repent
